Always Working For the Weekend – More Events!

No rest for the wicked it seems!  The Downtown Surrey BIA office is a buzz for this upcoming weekend.

SATURDAY JULY 10 marks the very first Q Fest in downtown Surrey!  Organized by Quattro and the Downtown Surrey BIA, this guaranteed block party will surely be fun in the sun, as residents of downtown Surrey welcome their new neighbours into the area.  It’s about neighbours meeting neighbours, new residents getting together with old residents in the area and having a grand old time.

There will be plenty of information about the area, as many organizations and groups will be present.  Look for the RCMP, BC Hydro, Surrey Parks & Rec, The Surrey Now, Surrey Food Bank Society and Cinemazoo among many others.  Activities will include face painting and live entertainment in the forms of singing, dancing and martial art-ing (courtesy of Sun Hang Do) .  We hope to see on Saturday!  Be sure to say hi to us DS BIA gals (Interns Melanie and Sandra, Tracey, Bonnie).

Starting around noon, the shindig is located on WHALLEY BOULEVARD (E Whalley Ring Road) between 107A and 108 Avenue.

SUNDAY JULY 11 marks the Annual Surrey Pride Festival featuring live bands entertainment, community/business booths, food vendors and much more!  The Downtown Surrey BIA will be there with an inflatable, bouncy castle and crafts for everyone.  Finish the weekend off right by celebrating diversity and equality at the Pride Festival.  We hope to see you on Sunday as well!  Say hi to us at our DS BIA tent (Interns Sarah and Marie, Tracey, Bonnie).

Located at HOLLAND PARK, the fun stars at 11:30am until 5:00pm.

We look forward to seeing you in Downtown Surrey this weekend!

ETA:  Sorry, wrong dates were previously posted.  This has been corrected.
