Movies Under the Stars

Presented by Prospera Credit Union, Movies Under the Stars’ first movie feature this summer is Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2.  The fun starts on August 6 at 4:30pm, including entertainment, activities and crafts.  The movie begins at dusk.

There are some local ties to this movie – watch close – Noah Benoit, one of the Movie Under the Stars volunteers is an extra in the roller rink scene and the majority of skate used in the scene came from the old Stardust in Surrey.

This free community event attracts a variety of people – from families, to seniors, to teenagers, to university students – Movies Under the Stars is guaranteed to bring you a different movie watching experience.  On a warm August night what could be more fun than watching a movie on a big, inflatable screen outdoors?

Make yourself at home by bringing your own blankets, lawn chairs and umbrellas.  Refreshments will be available at the North Surrey Lions Club barbecue but feel free to bring your own basket full of goodies.

The Downtown Surrey BIA will be hosting movies every Saturday in August at Holland Park in Surrey. Holland Park is located at the corner of King George Boulevard and Old Yale Road across the street from the King George Skytrain Station.
