Kung-Fu Fighting at Holland Park

Calling all Kung-Fu fighters and martial arts fanatics to Movies Under the Stars this Saturday at Holland Park!

On Saturday, August 17th, Prospera Credit Union is presenting Kung Fu Panda 2 at Holland Park, located at the corner of King George Boulevard and Old Yale Road. In this colorful animation, the kung-fu panda, Po, and his friends battle to stop a peacock villain from conquering China with a deadly new weapon, but first the Dragon Warrior must come to terms with his past.

The movie will start at dusk, but everyone is invited to come as early as 5pm to enjoy the bright outdoors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities. At 6pm, martial arts school Sun Hang Do will be captivating the audience with their charismatic performance – you won’t want to miss it.

Unique this weekend is The Surrey International World Music Marathon’s challenge of setting a world record for Most Cultural Flags Waved. Everyone is invited to help set a new record by waving over 500 flags! Free cultural flags will be handed out to participants at Holland Park at approximately 7:15pm.

Be sure to pack a picnic or come prepared for the North Surrey Lions’ barbecue. More free outdoor films are in store for this summer, so mark your calendars! The Croods and Bollywood Under the Stars will be shown on the 24th and 31st respectively, both located at Holland Park on the corner of King George Boulevard and Old Yale Road in Surrey.
