This June 14th the City’s annual Surrey Fest Downtown celebrates its sweet 16! While the name has changed over the past 16 years, the goals and the popularity of this event have not. Previously known as Whalley Community Festival, Surrey Fest is an extremely popular event put on each year in order to celebrate the area and foster a sense of community. Formed in 1999, Surrey Fest promotes and celebrates community pride through a full day of fun and entertainment for every age group by providing food services, vendors, exhibits, entertainment, and live music. This year some of our musical guests include Music with Marnie, Drift Away, Tony Profit, Jane’s Blonde as well as a host of other talented local performers. Running from 11am- 6pm, Surrey Fest Downtown is appropriately held in the heart of Downtown Surrey, spanning Central City Plaza and the North Surrey Rec Centre across the street ( 13450 102 Avenue). Attracting over 7,000 people this popular event is a perfect way to spend the day celebrating the community with family and friends, no matter what age.
