As a special feature of Surrey’s Doors Open event, Whalley’s Corner Community Festival is being held on June 21, 2014 from 11am-4pm.

The festival is a celebration of community and history so be sure totake advantage of this opportunity to learn more about Whalley’s historical richness. The festival is being appropriately being held on Grosvenor Rd. and King George Blvd., which is also known as the original “Whalley’s Corner.”

Arthur Whalley opened a gas station on this corner in the 1920’s and the name of the corner has stuck; the area has since become commonly
known as simply “Whalley.” this June 21st stroll through Whalley’s Corner Community Festival car show and compare your favourite
with the judge’s prize winners. Kids will love the crafts and face painting. Enjoy live performances from extremely talented instrumentalists
and singers as they set the atmosphere for this unique outdoor festival. whether you’re a car fan, a history buff, or a craft lover, one things for certain: you won’t want to miss Whalley’s Corner Community Festival.
