On Thursday July 3 the Downtown Surrey BIA and Whalley Community Association will host its Community Connection – an initiative of the City of Surrey that came out of last year’s Community Summit.
This event is a family-friendly outdoor picnic celebration and discussion on what to do with the Grosvenor Road open space. An interactive workshop will be held by SFU Urban Studies Students and everyone is invited to come out, share their idea, and participate in this community brainstorm.
This event also will feature a free BBQ, kids’ activities, and music. This event will be held at Grosvenor Road open field on Grosvenor Road and Whalley Boulevard from 5pm-8pm July 3. Come out, meet and work with fellow members of the community and help re-imagine the space!
