Ryley and Chloe’s Safety Foodrazer

Have you seen old car seats left by the side of the road? Ryley (5) and Chloe (3) have and they want to do something about it. “Kids should be safe,” says Ryley. Car seats have an expiry date and should be retired if involved in an accident. Using car seats left by the side of the road is not a safe practice.

The two little girls have arranged to recycle old car seats as part of their Fun and Games Foodrazer on Saturday, July 25 from 11am-2pm at the parking lot by A&W on 102 Avenue and Whalley Blvd.

“There will be fun. There will be games. There will be singing and dancing,” says Ryley. “And the firemen will come and teach us about Fire Safety.”

The RCMP will also be attending.

So plan drop off the old car seats that have been collecting dust in your garage. A donation to the Surrey Food Bank would be appreciated.
