Movies Under the Stars – HOME

Home

All of us dream about saving the planet! Come experience a hilarious misadventure of two fugitives on a futuristic Earth at Holland Park in Surrey.

Worlds collide in Home, the second movie in the annual summer movie series “Movies Under the Stars” on Saturday, August 8th.  The Boov, an alien race, have conquered earth and have relocated all humans except one – a little girl named Tip.  A fugitive Boov called Oh and Tip begin a comical misadventure to find the girl’s mother, restore Oh’s name, and maybe save the planet in the process.

As always, the event is free for all to enjoy. Each movie begins at dusk, but everyone is invited to arrive early to participate in fun activities and watch great performances by local entertainers. Staff from local branches of Prospera Credit Union will be handing out free popcorn (by donation to the Surrey Christmas Bureau) as attendees settle in to enjoy the movie.

If you come early, stop by a local restaurant and pick up some take-out, bring a picnic dinner or support the North Surrey Lions Club, who will once again be barbecuing hamburgers and hot dogs, with proceeds donated to local charities.

Movies Under the Stars is the perfect summer family night out! There is no better way to connect with family, friends, and neighbours than over some popcorn and a movie under the stars.

Special this week – everybody come wearing purple and  maybe win a prize.
