From The City of Surrey:
Across Canada, cities are increasingly turning to social innovation to address complex community-based issues including poverty, addiction, unemployment, affordable housing, health and safety. In Surrey, we’re also seeing that new ideas, more creativity and greater collaboration between government, agencies, academics, and the community can have dramatic positive impacts on people and organizations. On November 23rd, some of Canada’s most effective and inspiring social innovation leaders will come to the 2nd Annual Surrey Social Innovation Summit to share their unique experience and insight, along with social innovation success stories from their communities. It’s a chance for us to carry on the conversation from last year’s inaugural Summit and to explore new ways to build better communities. Please join us at this exciting event and add your voice to this exciting dialogue for change. To register and learn more, please visit http://www.surrey.ca/community/19760.aspx.
