The Surrey-Whalley All Candidates Meeting will take place Thursday, April 27th at SFU Surrey (13450 102 Ave) beginning at 6:30PM for the upcoming Provincial Election (May 9th, 2017). The election for MLA of Surrey-Whalley is held every few years. NDP have held the Surrey-Whalley area since 1986, apart from 2001.

The current incumbent is MLA Bruce Ralston of the NDP, who is running for re-election. Other candidates in the running include Rita Fromholt of the Green Party, Sargy Chima of the Liberal Party, Kristian Sullivan of the BC Libertarian Party, and George Gidora of the Communist Party of BC.

Each of the candidates will be forwarded a list of questions from the Downtown Surrey BIA to be answered at the All Candidates Forum. Each candidate will give a short opening statement and be asked a series of questions from the DSBIA and SFU. The forum will take no longer than two hours.

In attendance at the All Candidates Meeting will be MLA Bruce Ralston of the NDP, Rita Fromholt of the Green Party, Sargy Chima of the Liberal Party, and George Gidora of the Communist Party. All candidates have been asked to answer questions pertinent to our area. Here are their answers.
