Mary Poppins Sing-A-Long

The winds are picking up and Mary Poppins is on her way to Downtown Surrey on July 15th!

Bring your singing voice and dancing shoes and get ready for a night of fun under the stars. The much anticipated Movies Under the Stars is back again this summer with a great lineup of movies, including a special Canada 150 celebration screening of one of our favourite classic films. On July 15th in Surrey Civic Plaza, join us for a special sing-a-long screening of Disney’s Mary Poppins! This is an additional movie night to the much anticipated movie nights every Saturday in August at Holland Park. But don’t forget, the location is different for Mary Poppins Sing-A-Long, this event will be held at Civic Plaza instead of Holland Park.

The whole night will be sweeter than a spoonful of sugar, with special vendors and entertainers beginning at 5 pm. Dipsy Doodle will be back with her popular candy creations, and Whimsy Jewel’s will be on site with some special Canada 150 and Mary Poppins themed jewelry. As always, Prospera will be on site handing out free popcorn, and the North Surrey Lions will be selling hot dogs and snacks.

We love to laugh, and we hope you do too, as there will be a number of games and fun activities planned before the show. Listen to a storybook reading courtesy of Surrey Library, or watch one of the many performers we have lined up before the show. There will also be a crafts tent and free face painting for all attendees.

Let’s go fly a kite! Or better yet, arrive early to watch world class kite dancer Tristan Underwood fly his kite around the plaza in a whirl of colour and music sure to impress all. Make sure you also visit the craft station where you can build your very own kite to fly around after the show.

So grab your blankets, lawn chairs, friends and family and join us at a special location in Surrey Civic Plaza for the first Movies Under the Stars of the year on July 15th!
