Save the date! June 15, 2019 is the 21st annual Surrey Fest taking place in the heart of Downtown Surrey, Holland Park!
Surrey Fest is a celebration of and for the community where community groups, businesses, charities, and Surrey residents unite for a fun, action packed day of entertainment, crafts, vendors and food.
As one of the largest annual community festivals in Surrey, Surrey Fest was originally created in order to promote a sense of community pride and provide entertainment for people of all ages – and that mission remains strong after twenty-one years. Thousands of excited people attend the festival each year to be entertained, visit booths and participate in activities of all kinds.
This year, Surrey Fest will host numerous adrenaline-pumping performances such as a Zumba class by a local instructor, a performance from children’s entertainer Chris Hamilton, the headlining bands Trilojay and Big Easy Funk Ensemble, and more. There is something for everyone to enjoy – whether you want to get active, be entertained, or dance and cheer on some of the best party bands from Vancouver, Surrey Fest has it all!
The festival will also feature and introduce you to a variety of unique vendors and booths that include local crafters, small businesses, artisans and community groups. Be sure to check out Sweet Legs Surrey with Angela if you’re in the market for a stylish pair of leggings. Or, if you’re a history junkie and want to learn more about the area, head to the Whalley History Booth. Finally, if you want to get artsy for the day, the Surrey Art Gallery will be holding pottery demos! There will be many more crafts to enjoy, silent auction prizes to be won, information about local businesses, and volunteer opportunities to be had.
Organizations such as the Surrey Christmas Bureau, the Surrey Food Bank or Plea Community Services along with many other groups will also be in attendance, giving you the opportunity to establish volunteer opportunities for the summer.
Make a note on your calendar – Surrey Fest on Saturday, June 15 from 11am-4pm at Holland Park is the place to be for great entertainment, crafts, activities and interesting organizations.
