Big Rigs for Kids 2019

Get ready to see the Big Rigs cruise into Downtown Surrey – the beautiful, illuminated trucks are back for the ninth year on Sunday, December 1.

Big Rigs for Kids is a tradition for many local families that kicks off the holiday season. Children and adults alike love to see the intricate light displays on the trucks, depicting Christmas favourites, such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.

This free holiday celebration takes place at Civic Plaza. From festive crafts provided by the Downtown Surrey BIA to amazing local entertainment, Big Rigs for Kids has something for people of all ages to enjoy. Warm up your voices and get ready to participate in our community sing-a-long consisting of your favourite Christmas classics.

The trucks will wind through Cloverdale and end in Downtown Surrey, parking along University Drive near Civic Plaza upon arrival, giving you endless photo opportunities. Make sure to snap a picture with your favourite truck to use for this year’s Christmas card.

The Surrey Food Bank and Surrey Christmas Bureau will be on site to collect donations. Don’t forget to bring a toy or non-perishable food item to the event to support those in need.
