Safety Webinar 2020: Fraud & Scam Prevention

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s Safety Meeting will be held via Zoom.

Joining us will be A/Cpl Sandy Fabi from the Surrey RCMP Economic Crime/Cyber Crime Unit – which conducts various fraud investigations including prolific offenders, complex investigations involving multiple agencies/jurisdictions and cyber crimes. Sandy has over 19 years of police service including postings in Kamloops, E Division Major Crime based out of Surrey, Vernon and the Surrey RCMP.

This year’s safety webinar will discuss fraud, scams, and credit-card fraud. During COVID-19, scams and fraudulent tactics have been on the rise, with losses of up to $22.6 million this year alone in Canada.

We invite you to join us as there is no better time than now to equip yourself and your business with the knowledge and tools to respond to these issues. The webinar will take place on Tuesday, August 4th between 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Registration will be available on Eventbrite, where you will receive an email with details regarding the Zoom meeting upon signing up.

We hope to see you there!
