Christmas is coming! Start off your Christmas festivities by building a gingerbread creation and enter a contest to win a cash prize! The Downtown Surrey BIA is hosting its annual Gingerbread Village contest for the fourth year in a row at Central City Shopping Centre from December 5th to December 13th. There is no entry fee to participate, all you have to do is register for the contest.
We would like to invite all schools, business, non-profit organizations, community services, sports teams, families and all other individuals in the community to build a gingerbread creation representing what they would like to see in their Gingerbread Village.
Our panel of judges will be awarding over $10,000 in cash prizes to the best gingerbread creations. We will also once again be awarding a “People’s Choice Award” which this year will be $1000!
All entries of the gingerbread creations will be displayed at Central City Shopping Centre. Your gingerbread creations need to be dropped off on December 4th between 10am and 3pm. Voting will begin on December 5th and last until December 13th. Each dollar donated will equal one vote and all proceeds go to the Surrey Christmas Bureau. Encourage your friends and family to vote for your gingerbread creation!
