This year, the first ever Whalley’s Corner festival took place as a special addition to Surrey’s Doors Open Event.
Whalley’s Corner Community Festival was unique in its blending of its past and present. The event allowed the community to learn and celebrate the history of the area through a historical display booth. It was held at the historical Whalley’s Corner site, which used to be a gas station owned by Arthur Whalley. The event also brought a modern platform for local businesses and vendors to showcase their talents and resources.
There were performances by SoulTree, Authentic Board Shop, Drift Away– just to name a few. There were over 15 local vendors participating in this year’s event, plus an antique car show in which the antique firetruck took first place.
