Lunch On Us! is the time of year for the businesses and the DSBIA to gather together and shape our collective vision for Downtown Surrey. We are eager to work together and develop relationships with all of Surrey’s establishments in order to gather as much input as we can over the future of our city.
Save the date! June 15, 2019 is the 21st annual Surrey Fest taking place in the heart of Downtown Surrey, Holland Park!
Surrey Fest is a celebration of and for the community where community groups, businesses, charities, and Surrey residents unite for a fun, action packed day of entertainment, crafts, vendors and food.
For those of you who were looking forward to seeing Wizard of Oz on August 7th, be prepared to dust off your ruby slippers & follow the Yellow Brick Road!
Wizard of Oz has been rescheduled to Friday August 20 at Holland Park!

Due to the rainy weather we are experiencing, today’s (August 7th) Movies Under the Stars featuring Wizard of Oz will be POSTPONED until further notice. We will announce the new date for Wizard of Oz when we can!

Slip on your ruby shoes and follow the yellow brick road to Holland Park as the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association welcomes all brainless scarecrows, heartless tin men, cowardly lions, Munchkins and witches to the Sixth Annual Movies Under the Stars on Saturday, August 7th .
Presented by Prospera Credit Union, Movies Under the Stars’ first movie feature this summer is The Wizard of Oz. The fun starts at 4:30pm, including entertainment, activities and crafts, oh my! The movie begins at dusk.
The BIA is also hosting a costume contest for the dedicated fans, so be sure to dress up as your favourite Wizard of Oz character. Come green, or as an animal or maybe as the Wonderful Wizard himself.
This free community event attracts a variety of people – from families, to seniors, to teenagers, to university students – Movies Under the Stars is guaranteed to bring you a different movie watching experience. On a warm August night what could be more fun than watching a movie on a big, inflatable screen outdoors?
Make yourself at home by bringing your own blankets, lawn chairs and umbrellas. Refreshments will be available at the North Surrey Lions Club barbecue but feel free to bring your own basket full of goodies.
The Downtown Surrey BIA will be hosting movies every Saturday in August at Holland Park in Surrey. Holland Park is located at the corner of King George Boulevard and Old Yale Road across the street from the King George Skytrain Station.

No rest for the wicked it seems! The Downtown Surrey BIA office is a buzz for this upcoming weekend.
SATURDAY JULY 10 marks the very first Q Fest in downtown Surrey! Organized by Quattro and the Downtown Surrey BIA, this guaranteed block party will surely be fun in the sun, as residents of downtown Surrey welcome their new neighbours into the area. It’s about neighbours meeting neighbours, new residents getting together with old residents in the area and having a grand old time.
There will be plenty of information about the area, as many organizations and groups will be present. Look for the RCMP, BC Hydro, Surrey Parks & Rec, The Surrey Now, Surrey Food Bank Society and Cinemazoo among many others. Activities will include face painting and live entertainment in the forms of singing, dancing and martial art-ing (courtesy of Sun Hang Do) . We hope to see on Saturday! Be sure to say hi to us DS BIA gals (Interns Melanie and Sandra, Tracey, Bonnie).
Starting around noon, the shindig is located on WHALLEY BOULEVARD (E Whalley Ring Road) between 107A and 108 Avenue.
SUNDAY JULY 11 marks the Annual Surrey Pride Festival featuring live bands entertainment, community/business booths, food vendors and much more! The Downtown Surrey BIA will be there with an inflatable, bouncy castle and crafts for everyone. Finish the weekend off right by celebrating diversity and equality at the Pride Festival. We hope to see you on Sunday as well! Say hi to us at our DS BIA tent (Interns Sarah and Marie, Tracey, Bonnie).
Located at HOLLAND PARK, the fun stars at 11:30am until 5:00pm.

End those summertime activities with an annual Downtown Surrey BIA event! Movies Under the Stars is happening once again at HOLLAND PARK and should not be missed. Every Saturday in August, fun events will start at 4:30pm and the movie begins when the sun goes down. Please bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and umbrellas.

Surrey’s Fusion Festival is here! And the Downtown Surrey BIA is headed there with a boxful of crafts and a bag full of fun. Join us for a day of fusion-inspired activities, events and entertainment.
Surrey Fusion Festival 2010 will be Surrey’s largest two-day multicultural celebration with more than 25 international pavilions celebrating music, food and culture. Watch headline performances on three stages: World Music Stage, Celebration Stage and Cultural Community Stage, all taking place in Central City’s beautiful urban park.
Fusion Festival runs July 17th and 18th, 2010 at Surrey’s magnificent Holland Park located at King George Boulevard and Old Yale Road. This is the largest multicultural event in Surrey’s history! More than 60,000 people attended this FREE outdoor festival in 2009 and we are expecting 70,000 in 2010.
