Due to the rainy weather we are experiencing, today’s (August 7th) Movies Under the Stars featuring Wizard of Oz will be POSTPONED until further notice. We will announce the new date for Wizard of Oz when we can!
We still have THREE more movies nights every Saturday in August!
Please join us for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball next week (August 14) in Holland Park! 🙂
Slip on your ruby shoes and follow the yellow brick road to Holland Park as the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association welcomes all brainless scarecrows, heartless tin men, cowardly lions, Munchkins and witches to the Sixth Annual Movies Under the Stars on Saturday, August 7th .
Presented by Prospera Credit Union, Movies Under the Stars’ first movie feature this summer is The Wizard of Oz. The fun starts at 4:30pm, including entertainment, activities and crafts, oh my! The movie begins at dusk.
The BIA is also hosting a costume contest for the dedicated fans, so be sure to dress up as your favourite Wizard of Oz character. Come green, or as an animal or maybe as the Wonderful Wizard himself.
This free community event attracts a variety of people – from families, to seniors, to teenagers, to university students – Movies Under the Stars is guaranteed to bring you a different movie watching experience. On a warm August night what could be more fun than watching a movie on a big, inflatable screen outdoors?
Make yourself at home by bringing your own blankets, lawn chairs and umbrellas. Refreshments will be available at the North Surrey Lions Club barbecue but feel free to bring your own basket full of goodies.
The Downtown Surrey BIA will be hosting movies every Saturday in August at Holland Park in Surrey. Holland Park is located at the corner of King George Boulevard and Old Yale Road across the street from the King George Skytrain Station.
Schedule of Movies:
