Come out to Forsyth Park on Saturday, July 13th from 11 am to 2 pm for the second annual Glitter Unicorn Festival! With crafts, games, music, face painting and more, it’s an event you won’t want to miss. Freezies and treats will be sold on site, and all proceeds will go towards the Tiny Bundles program at the Surrey Food Bank.
The Glitter Unicorn Festival was an idea created by nine-year-old Ryley and seven-year-old Chloe.
This festival is a chance to celebrate the history and future of Whalley, so don’t forget to stop by the historical booth and check out photos and facts from the area’s past!
Last year, the girls were able to raise a total of $400, with the proceeds going to the Surrey Food Bank, Centre for Child Development, and the Surrey Christmas Bureau. This year, they hope to raise even more money – and they want your help.
Please bring your empty bottles and cans to the event – the money collected from recycling them will go towards the Surrey Food Bank. What better way to spend your Saturday than by having fun in the sun while helping your local community?
Enjoy a day of crafts, face painting, and games while listening to live performances by local musicians and the Downtown Surrey BIA interns while browsing local vendors from the Whalley area.
The annual Whalley Corner’s Community Festival will take place on Saturday, July 6 from 11am – 3pm at the corner of King George Boulevard and Grosvenor Road.
Make sure to take a photo with one of several vintage cars. This festival is a chance to celebrate the history and future of Whalley, so don’t forget to stop by the historical booth and check out photos and facts from the area’s past!
Whalley’s Corner Community Festival is made possible by the Whalley Community Improvement Association, with special help from the Downtown Surrey BIA.
