Safe Needle Pickup & Disposal

Needles are commonly used by many members of the community, such as people with medical conditions, pets or those using illegal substances. When not disposed of properly, they create a risk for the community. By safely disposing of these needles, you are doing your part in reducing the risk of injury or infection in the community.

If you are uncomfortable picking up the needle on your own, and depending on where you are, call the following service providers:

  • The Rig Dig Program (North Surrey & Whalley) – 604-328-7610
  • City of Surrey Engineering – 604-591-4152
  • Delta South Public Health Unit – 604-952-3550
  • Richmond Health Services – 604-233-3147
  • Langley Public Health Unit – 604-539-2900
  • Abbotsford Public Health Unit – 604-864-3400
