Enter Gingerbread Village 2024!
Can you imagine a world where all your storybook characters exist together simultaneously? Well, now’s your chance! By entering the Downtown Surrey BIA’s seventh annual Gingerbread Village Contest, contestants are invited to create a gingerbread house based on this year’s contest theme “my favourite storybook”! So let your imagination run wild and indulge in nostalgic memories of your favourite storybooks to create the perfect gingerbread village!
Entries will be on display at Central City Shopping Centre from Friday December 6 to Sunday December 15 between 11am-7pm. Passersby will have the chance to vote online, by donation to the Surrey Christmas Bureau which provides families in need with gifts and groceries over the holiday season. Each dollar donated through voting is equivalent to one vote.
Our panel of judges will award up to $1000 to this year’s winners in each category. A special People’s Choice Award will also be awarded to the team that collects the most votes (reflected in number donations to the Surrey Christmas Bureau) over the voting period (December 6 – Dec 15, 2024). The first place winner for the People’s Choice Award will receive $1000 and the runner-up will receive $500.
