Downtown Surrey’s sweetest tradition returned this year as the Gingerbread Village Showdown invited local organizations, schools, and residents to get creative and compete under the theme My Favourite Movie.
From whimsical classics to modern hits, each entry brought cinematic magic to life — all crafted in gingerbread. Visitors explored the display at Central City from November 29 to December 7 and cast their votes for their favourite creations.
This year’s event also featured a special celebrity judge — a Food Network competition champion — who helped crown the ultimate Gingerbread Star.
